The Ariens EDGE 52 is a residential zero-turn mower built for homeowners who want a wider cutting deck, responsive handling, and durable construction in a manageable machine.
This configuration uses a 21.5 HP Kawasaki FR651V V-Twin engine with 726cc displacement. It provides dependable power for regular mowing while keeping the machine compact enough to maneuver around landscaping, trees, and other obstacles.
The mower is equipped with a 52-inch fabricated cutting deck made from 11-gauge steel. Unlike a lighter stamped deck, the welded construction is designed to provide additional strength for repeated residential use. The three-spindle deck offers a broad cutting path while maintaining the maneuverability of a zero-turn mower.
Cutting height can be adjusted between 1.5 and 4.5 inches across seven positions. A foot-operated deck lift makes it easier to raise the deck, while the hand control allows cutting-height adjustments in half-inch increments.
Dual Hydro-Gear EZT hydrostatic transaxles provide independent control of the rear wheels, giving the EDGE its zero-turn maneuverability. Forward speed reaches approximately 6 mph, with reverse speeds up to approximately 3 mph.
For operator comfort, the EDGE 52 includes a 16-inch high-back seat, seat springs, wide rear tires, and controls positioned for straightforward operation. The deck uses forged aluminum spindles and electric blade engagement for convenient everyday mowing.
