The Toro Recycler 21465 is a self-propelled walk-behind mower designed for residential lawns where easy speed control, strong mulching performance, and convenient storage are important.
Power comes from a 150cc Briggs & Stratton EXi gasoline engine rated at 6.25 ft-lb gross torque. The engine uses Toro’s Just Check & Add approach, so routine maintenance does not require traditional scheduled oil changes; the oil level is checked and topped off as needed.
The mower uses Toro’s Personal Pace Auto-Drive system. Instead of selecting a fixed drive speed, the mower responds naturally to the operator’s walking pace. Rear-wheel drive helps provide traction and control while moving across typical residential terrain.
A 22-inch steel Recycler deck gives the mower a wide cutting path for a walk-behind machine. Toro’s Recycler cutting system and Vortex Technology increase airflow through the deck and repeatedly cut clippings into smaller pieces for mulching.
For customers who prefer bagging, the included Super Bagger is designed for easier handling and emptying. The mower can also switch between mulching, bagging, and side-discharge operation, giving the operator flexibility as lawn conditions change.
One of the most useful features of model 21465 is SmartStow. The handle folds and the mower can be stored vertically, reducing the amount of floor space it occupies in a garage or shed. Toro states that SmartStow can reduce the mower’s storage footprint by up to approximately 70%.
